What is a deepfake and how do you spot one?

A deepfake is a fake video or audio clip where AI swaps someone's face or voice to make them say or do something they never did. The best way to check is to look for glitchy eyes, weird head movements, and unnatural audio delays.

Deepfakes are AI-generated fake videos and audio recordings designed to fool you into thinking someone said or did something they didn't. They're getting harder to spot every month. Deepfake videos often have blinking that's too fast or too slow, eyes that don't focus properly, and skin that looks plastic. Deepfake audio can have weird pauses, mismatched lip movements, or a voice that sounds slightly off. The key is to stay skeptical of anything shocking and check the source.
