Phone isn't making any sound for notifications or calls
Silent mode, Do Not Disturb, or low notification volume is silencing your phone. Check the physical mute switch first (it's the fastest fix). If it's not on, check Do Not Disturb in Settings.
Android has three separate ways to silence notifications: a physical Silent mode switch on the side, a Do Not Disturb mode in Settings, and separate notification volume controls. One of these is turned on right now.
