Notification sounds stopped playing even though volume is on
Either Do Not Disturb is on, notification volume is turned down separately, or an app has notification sounds disabled. Check Do Not Disturb first. If it's on, turn it off. If not, go to Settings → Sound and check that notification volume is turned up.
Android controls notification sounds separately from ringer volume. Your ringer can be loud but notification volume can be turned down. Do Not Disturb also mutes notifications specifically. We'll check both settings to get notifications sounding again.
