RCS messaging not working on your Android phone
RCS needs a strong data connection and has to be turned on in your messaging app. Check that you have WiFi or mobile data connected, then go to your messaging app and enable RCS in Settings. If RCS still won't activate, wait a few minutes. Sometimes carriers take time to register your phone for the service.
RCS is an upgrade to regular text messages that adds features like typing indicators, read receipts, and high-quality photo sharing. It needs a data connection and permission from your carrier. If RCS isn't working, your phone probably isn't connected to data or RCS isn't enabled in your messaging app. We'll turn on data, enable RCS, and let your carrier register the service.
- ✓Have a data connection ready (WiFi or mobile data)
- ✓Know your messaging app (Samsung Messages, Google Messages, etc.)
- ✓Be willing to wait up to 48 hours for carrier registration
Fix-IT-Bot will walk you through each step, just tap, no typing needed.
