Teams channels disappeared or aren't showing for some staff
Missing channels are hidden, archived, or the employee lost permission to them. Check if the channel was archived or deleted. If it's hidden, ask the employee to unhide it.
Teams channels can vanish from sight for three reasons: someone archived them, they were deleted, or the employee doesn't have permission to see them. Archived channels are still there but hidden by default. Hidden channels don't show up unless you know to unhide them. If someone was removed from a channel, they need to be added back.
- ✓Have the employee's Teams account name and the team name where the channel should be
- ✓Make sure you have access to Teams on at least one device so you can check the team
- ✓Get the employee to stay available for quick tests while you troubleshoot

Skip, I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Thinking a missing channel means it's deleted. It's just archived or the employee lost permission
- Not checking if the employee was removed from the team or channel. That's the most common cause
- Not realizing archived channels are still searchable and can be unhidden
- Clearing the whole Teams app cache when just clearing the local cache would fix it
