VoIP desk phone shows offline or not registered

VoIP phones need to register with a server before they can make calls. If your phone shows offline, check that the network cable is plugged in firmly on both ends. If the cable is plugged in, restart the phone and wait 60 seconds.

A VoIP phone that shows 'Not Registered' can't connect to the phone system. This is because the network cable is loose, the phone is unplugged, or the phone needs to restart. This article shows how to check the cable, power, and settings.
