Multiplayer games lagging during peak hours

Peak-hour lag happens because everyone at home is using the internet at the same time. Streaming, video calls, downloads, and your game all competing for the same connection. The quickest fix is switching your console from WiFi to a network cable plugged into the router. If that doesn't help, ask everyone else to avoid streaming during your gameplay.

Multiplayer games need a smooth, steady internet connection. When multiple people at home stream video, download files, or use video calling at the same time, your game data gets stuck in the queue waiting its turn. This causes lag and freezing. Switching to a network cable gives your console priority, and stopping other heavy internet use during your gameplay is the most reliable fix.
