TV is cutting off the edges of the screen when using your console

Your TV is cutting off the picture. This is called overscan. Most TVs have an overscan setting that you can turn off. Try your TV remote first: look for a Picture, Display, or Screen Fit button.

TVs sometimes cut off the edges of the picture automatically. This is called overscan. It's designed to hide old analog TV junk you don't need to see, but it gets in the way of modern games. You can fix it by adjusting your TV's picture settings or telling your console to draw the game smaller so it all fits on screen. Either way takes less than a minute.
