Console is not downloading updates while in rest mode
Rest mode needs to be specifically enabled in your console settings to allow downloads. Go to Settings, find Power or Rest Mode, and turn on Allow Automatic Downloads or Download During Rest Mode.
Rest mode is a low-power state that lets your console download games and updates while you are not using it. But rest mode downloads are not enabled by default. You have to turn them on in your settings. Once you enable them, your console will download updates and game files overnight so they are ready when you wake up.
- ✓Have the game or app ready to launch so you can test after making changes
- ✓Make sure you have at least 30 minutes available to test the solution
- ✓Know what device you're using so you can find the right settings
