Parental controls are blocking games that should be allowed
Parental control settings block content based on age ratings you have set. If a game is blocked, go to parental controls and adjust the age rating higher. This lets age-appropriate games through. If you do not know the PIN, you can reset it using your account credentials.
Parental controls protect children from content that is too mature. But sometimes they are set too strictly and block games that are fine. You can adjust the age rating limit to allow games you have approved. If you have forgotten the PIN, you can reset it using your account email and password. You do not need the old PIN.
- ✓Have the parental control PIN ready — if you forgot it, you will need to reset it using your account email
- ✓Know the age rating of the game you want to allow — check the game details first if needed
- ✓Sign in with the parent or admin account — only admins can change parental controls
- ✓Have 10–15 minutes available to make the changes and test that the game now plays

- Not knowing the age rating system. Different consoles use different names for ratings
- Entering the wrong PIN multiple times and getting locked out
- Thinking the game is broken when really the parental control limit is too low
Signs you need professional help
- You reset the parental PIN but it still does not work, the game is still blocked even after adjusting the age rating, or you forgot your account email and cannot reset the PIN.
