Screen recording has no sound or audio not captured
Screen recording requires you to pick an audio source before you hit Record — if you skipped that step, the recording captured video only. For future recordings, check the audio dropdown before starting.
When your Mac records your screen without audio, it's because no audio source was selected before you started the recording. macOS lets you pick from system audio (sounds from apps), microphone audio (what you say), or both.

Skip, I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Forgetting to select an audio source before clicking Record — the settings only matter before you start
- Expecting audio to be added after the recording is done — audio has to be captured during recording, not added later
