Mac can't find your printer when you try to add it

Your Mac and printer aren't communicating because they're on different WiFi networks or too far from the router. Make sure they're on the same network and close to the router first. Then try adding it again — this fixes it.

For your Mac to see your printer, they need to be on the same WiFi network and able to reach each other. If they're on different networks or too far from the router, your Mac simply can't find it. We'll get them on the same network, then add the printer to your Mac.
