Your Mac says iCloud storage is full and files aren't syncing

When iCloud storage is full, nothing new can sync until you free up space. The fastest fix is to delete large files you no longer need, like old downloads or duplicate photos. If you don't want to delete anything, upgrade to a larger iCloud storage plan.

iCloud storage works like a filing cabinet. When it's full, you can't add new files. Apple gives you 5 GB free, but photos, device backups, and documents all count against that limit. When you run out of space, syncing stops and your data can't reach your other devices. You can free up space by deleting old files, removing old backups, or upgrading your plan.
