Your Mac WiFi is slow even though your internet is fast
Your Mac is probably on the slower 2.4GHz band instead of 5GHz. Hold Option and click the WiFi icon to check your band. If it says 2.4GHz, disconnect and reconnect to switch to 5GHz. Also change your DNS to 8.8.8.8 to speed things up.
When your Mac shows slow speeds while other devices are fast, your Mac is probably connected to the slower 2.4GHz band instead of 5GHz. Or your DNS settings are adding delay. Switching bands and changing DNS resolves most cases.

Signs you need professional help
- Your Mac is on 5GHz with good signal but speed is still very slow. Speed test is fast right next to the router but slow everywhere else. Your WiFi adapter needs hardware service or driver updates.
