Router not working after a firmware update

A bad firmware update needs a factory reset to clear corrupted settings. A factory reset returns your router to its out-of-box state. You'll need to reconfigure it and reconnect all devices.

Sometimes firmware updates introduce bugs or corrupt the router's settings. A factory reset clears this corruption and gives you a fresh start. After the reset, you'll need to set up your WiFi network name and password again. This fixes most post-update problems.
