Router DNS not resolving. Websites not loading but internet is connected

Your router isn't translating website addresses into IP addresses. The DNS server it's using is either down or unreachable. Change the DNS to Google's public DNS (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare's (1.1.1.1) in your router settings. This fixes it in under a minute.

DNS is the system that turns www.example.com into an actual IP address so your browser can connect. When DNS stops working, websites appear unreachable even though you're connected to the router. We'll change your router to use a public DNS server that's more reliable than your ISP's.
