WiFi slow because of channel congestion from neighbors
Your WiFi is running on the same channel as your neighbors' routers and they are all jamming each other. Change your channel to one less crowded and you will see an immediate speed boost. This takes about 5 minutes.
WiFi channels work like radio stations. If lots of routers are on channel 6, they all interfere with each other and slow down. You can switch your router to a clearer channel with no one else on it. We will show you how to scan for open channels and move to the fastest one.
- ✓Check how many WiFi networks you see when you scan for available networks
- ✓Note if your WiFi is slower at certain times of day
- ✓Open your router's settings and see which channel it is currently on
- ✓Restart your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds. Does that help at all?
Fix-IT-Bot will walk you through each step, just tap, no typing needed.

- Changing the channel but not disconnecting and reconnecting devices. They stay on the old channel until they rejoin the network
- Assuming 5 GHz is always better. Some older devices do not support 5 GHz and have to stay on 2.4 GHz
