WiFi signal got weaker after moving your router

Router placement matters a lot. Moving it into a closet or corner weakens the signal. Move the router to a central, high location like a shelf on a wall in the middle of your house.

WiFi signals travel through walls but get blocked by solid objects. Putting your router in a closet, basement, or corner of the house blocks the signal from reaching everywhere. Moving it to a central location and up high. Like on a high shelf in the middle of the house.
