Smart bulb not changing color or showing wrong color

Smart bulbs that ignore color commands are out of sync with the app. Power cycle the bulb and refresh the app. These two simple steps fix color control.

Color commands are sent through the app or voice assistant to your bulb. When the bulb loses sync with the hub or app, it ignores color commands or resets to white. A power cycle restores the connection, and color commands start working again. This happens after a power cut or hub update.

  • Make sure your bulb is powered on at the wall switch
  • Check that your phone is on the same WiFi network as your bulb's hub or bridge
