Smart home device stuck on Updating firmware

Firmware updates that stall are caused by a weak WiFi connection or your computer losing power. First, check that your WiFi signal is strong where your computer sits. Move it closer to your router if needed. If the signal is good, restart your computer by unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. Stuck updates clear up immediately.

Smart home devices update their software (called firmware) over WiFi. If the connection drops or your computer loses power during an update, it gets stuck partway through. The good news is this is reversible. A fresh restart clears a stuck update and lets your device try again.
