Your smart bulb won't connect to WiFi during setup

Smart bulbs are picky about WiFi. You're either on a 5GHz network when the bulb only supports 2.4GHz, or the bulb isn't close enough to the router to see the network. Move the bulb closer to your router and make sure you're setting it up on a 2.4GHz WiFi network.

Most smart bulbs only work on 2.4GHz WiFi -- not 5GHz, even if your router broadcasts both. They also need to be close to the router during setup to form the initial connection. Once connected, they can work from further away. The fix is straightforward: move the bulb near the router, connect it to the 2.4GHz network, and try again.
