Browser not loading certain websites but others work fine

It's a cached page that's gone stale or your computer has old information about the website. First, empty your browser cache and try the site again. This fixes most cases. If that doesn't work, restart your computer and try once more.

Your browser stores a local copy of websites you visit so they load faster next time. When that cached copy gets outdated or when your computer holds onto old address information for a site, the browser can't connect. Clearing the cache and restarting will clear this out. If a few websites are affected but most work fine, the problem is on your end, not the internet.

  • Try opening the website in a different browser (if you normally use Chrome, try Firefox or Edge). If it works there, your main browser has a cached problem
  • Make sure the site works on your phone or a different computer. If it does, the problem is on this computer
  • Look at the error message. If it says DNS or can't reach the issue is cache-related

Fix-IT-Bot will walk you through each step, just tap, no typing needed.
