Netflix says too many devices are streaming at the same time
Your Netflix plan has a limit on how many screens can watch at once. Basic plans allow only 1, Standard allows 2, and Premium allows 4. Either someone else is watching right now, or an old device like a phone or tablet is still logged in and using up a screen.
Netflix limits how many screens can stream at the same time based on your plan type. If you hit that limit, Netflix blocks any new playback. Either too many people are watching together or a device you've forgotten about is still logged in. Like an old phone, tablet, or TV in another room. Signing out of unused devices or upgrading your plan both fix it.

Skip, I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Pausing a show but thinking it's no longer using a screen — Netflix still counts paused shows as one of your active screens
- Signing out on only one device instead of finding and signing out of all forgotten devices
- Paying to upgrade the plan when the real problem is just a spare phone or tablet still logged in
Signs you need professional help
