Subtitles won't show or are hard to read
Subtitles are controlled in two places: in the app during playback and in your account settings. Turn them on during playback first, then check your account profile settings to make sure they are set to your language and make them bigger if needed.
Subtitles can be turned on and off during playback, but also have account-level settings that control the language and appearance. Netflix remembers your last choice. If you turned them off for one show, they stay off for the next. You can customize how subtitles look (size, color, background) in your account settings.
