What's the difference between HDMI ARC and eARC?
ARC sends basic sound from your TV to a soundbar through an HDMI cable. EARC does the same thing but handles higher-quality sound formats like Dolby Atmos. If your TV and soundbar both support eARC, use that port.
HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) and eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel) both let your TV send audio to a soundbar through the same cable you use to watch, instead of needing a separate audio cable. EARC is newer and faster, and it supports better-quality sound formats like Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital Plus. ARC works fine for regular stereo sound, but if you want the best audio quality and your TV supports it, eARC is the better choice.
