Fitness tracker heart rate readings seem wrong

Heart rate sensors need good skin contact to work. Move the tracker higher up your wrist, make sure it's snug, and wash your skin where it sits. Sweat, lotion, and dirt block the light the sensor uses. After you move it and clean it, do a quick test walk and the readings should be accurate again.

Heart rate trackers use light to measure your pulse through your skin. If the sensor isn't touching your skin properly, the light can't do its job and the numbers go wrong. The fix is tightening the band, moving it to the right spot on your wrist, and making sure the sensor area is clean and dry.
