Smartwatch pairing keeps failing halfway through

Pairing fails when Bluetooth is confused or your phone's Bluetooth has too much data stored. Turn off Bluetooth on both devices, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on and try pairing again. If that doesn't work, forget the watch from your phone's Bluetooth settings and pair it fresh.

Smartwatch pairing is really Bluetooth pairing. Your phone and watch need to exchange information to find each other and communicate. When this process fails partway through, it's because Bluetooth is confused or the phone still has old pairing information from a previous attempt. The fix is simple: clear old pairing data and start fresh. Rarely, it means your phone or watch hardware has a problem.
