How to factory reset your smartwatch
A factory reset completely wipes your watch and brings it back to how it was from the factory. You can do it right from the watch itself in Settings. Just know that everything on it will be deleted, including your activity data, so back up anything you want to keep first.
A factory reset erases everything on your smartwatch and restores it to factory settings. Your activity data, apps, and personal settings all get deleted. This is useful when you're selling the watch, switching phones, or the watch has serious problems. Do this through the watch's own Settings. You don't need your phone.
- ✓Have your watch charged to at least 50% battery — reset can fail if the battery dies mid-process
- ✓Know your Apple ID or Google account password if the watch is protected
- ✓Know that activity data synced to your phone will be kept — only watch settings will be erased
- ✓Have your phone nearby in case you need to unpair the watch first
