Outlook shows connected but emails won't send
Outlook showing Connected means your account can sign in. It does not mean sending works. A stuck message, wrong port number, or Work Offline mode being on blocks sending. Each takes 30 seconds to check.
Connected just means your account can authenticate. It does not mean sending works. The outgoing mail path can be blocked, misconfigured, or Work Offline mode is turned on. We will check those settings. Most take 30 seconds each to fix.

Skip, I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Keep clicking Send on emails stuck in Outbox. This adds more copies to the queue and makes it worse
- Assume the recipient's address is wrong if all outgoing mail is failing. The problem is the outgoing path, not the address
- Reinstall Outlook before checking Work Offline and Outbox. These take 30 seconds to check
Signs you need professional help
- If port, authentication, and Work Offline have all been checked and sending still fails. If an app-specific password is needed for a 2FA account. If the email account is a work account with IT-managed settings.
