Your printer shows 'driver is unavailable' error

Windows lost the printer driver — the software that lets your computer talk to the printer. Remove the printer from Settings and add it again — Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

A printer driver is like a translator between Windows and your printer. When the driver goes missing or gets corrupted, Windows can't send print jobs to the printer. This happens after a Windows update or restart. Windows will automatically download and reinstall the driver if you remove the printer and add it again.
