How to remove apps that have access to your account
Go to your account's security settings and look for 'Connected apps', 'Third-party access', or 'Apps with account access'. Review the list and remove anything you don't recognise or don't use anymore. This stops those apps from accessing your data.
When you sign in to apps using 'Sign in with Google' or 'Sign in with Apple', you give those apps access to parts of your account. Over time, you build up a list of connected apps, many of which you've forgotten about or no longer use. Reviewing and removing old connections is good security hygiene and takes just a few minutes.
- ✓Have your Google, Apple, Microsoft, or Facebook account email and password ready — you will need to sign in to see connected apps
- ✓Make sure you're on a device where you can access your account settings (computer or phone)
- ✓Have 5–10 minutes to review your connected apps — you will have more than you expect
