Passkey login not working on your device
Passkeys are tied to your phone, tablet, or computer where you created them. If you're on a different device, the passkey won't work unless it synced through iCloud Keychain, Google Password Manager, or a similar service. Use your password to log in, then create a new passkey on this device.
Passkeys are stored on your device where you created them. If you're trying to log in on a different device, the passkey won't work unless it was synced through iCloud Keychain (Apple), Google Password Manager, or Windows Hello. The fix is to log in with your password on the new device and set up a new passkey there.
- ✓Have your account password ready as a backup — you'll need it if the passkey doesn't work
- ✓Know which device you originally set up the passkey on
- ✓Make sure your device's biometrics (fingerprint or face) are working — test by unlocking your phone or computer
