How to create backup codes so you can always get into your account

Recovery codes are a set of one-time-use codes that let you log in when you can't use your normal two-factor method (like when you lose your phone). Generate them from your account's security settings and save them in a password manager or print them out. Do this now while you have access. Not when you're already locked out.

Recovery codes are your emergency backup for two-factor authentication. If you lose your phone, delete your authenticator app, or can't receive text messages, these codes let you log in anyway. You generate them once from your account settings, and each code can be used one time. Store them somewhere safe. A password manager, a printed sheet, or written down and kept at home.
