Photos won't delete even though you selected them
Either the delete button is greyed out because you're in the wrong view, or iCloud Shared Photo Library is preventing the deletion. Switching to the right view and checking iCloud settings fixes it.
Photos can be protected by iCloud or stored in special folders where they can't be deleted. We'll make sure you're using the delete feature correctly, check if iCloud Shared Photo Library is enabled, and clear out the photos you don't need.

- Thinking archive and delete are the same thing — archived photos still take up space and need to be permanently deleted from trash.
- Trying to delete from an album view instead of the main library — some views don't have the delete option.
