FaceTime call shows audio only, no video from your camera
Your camera is blocked from FaceTime or your video is turned off mid-call. Turn the camera back on or check if FaceTime has permission to access it — this fixes it in seconds.
FaceTime audio working but video not showing means either you've disabled video during the call, or your camera isn't allowed to talk to FaceTime. We'll turn video back on, check app permissions, and make sure your camera hardware is working.

Skip, I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Tapping the mute button instead of the camera button — these are next to each other and easy to mix up mid-call.
- Not realizing video was disabled mid-call — it happens silently and stays off until you tap to turn it back on.
Signs you need professional help
- If your camera still won't show video after checking permissions, restarting FaceTime, and restarting your phone, there may be a hardware issue with the camera itself. Give us a call and we'll check it out.
