iPhone screen flickering or flashing

Try restarting your iPhone first. That fixes flickering from software issues. If it continues, check which apps it happens in to figure out if it's app-specific or system-wide.

Your iPhone's display is controlled by both hardware (the physical screen) and software (the system that controls it). Flickering happens when the software and hardware get out of sync, when an app conflicts with your display settings, or when hardware connections loosen. A restart clears temporary software problems. If flickering keeps happening after restart and shows everywhere on the screen, it can be a hardware problem that needs service.
