iPhone NFC tags not scanning or being recognized
NFC can be disabled in Control Center, a setting was turned off, or NFC got stuck. Checking Control Center, enabling NFC in settings, and trying again fixes this for most people.
When your iPhone won't scan NFC tags, it's for most people because NFC is disabled in Control Center, a region restriction is active, or the NFC antenna needs to be reset. We'll enable NFC, check your location settings, and make sure the antenna is working properly.

- Not realizing NFC can be disabled in Control Center — people think the hardware is broken when it's just turned off
- Holding the iPhone too far from the NFC tag — NFC only works within a few inches, so hold it close
