Screen recording has video but no audio

Long-press the Screen Record button in Control Centre (don't just tap it) to see audio options. Make sure the microphone toggle is red and on. Then check Settings → Privacy → Microphone to confirm screen recording has permission.

Screen recording captures two types of sound: your voice through the microphone, and app sounds like music or notifications. Just tapping the record button skips the audio settings. Long-pressing shows you the audio options. Some apps like Spotify and Netflix block audio recording on purpose.
