Microphone not working during calls or recordings
Check the microphone port at the bottom for lint or debris, check that microphone permission is enabled for the app, and restart your phone. If those don't work, the microphone hardware needs service.
A non-working microphone is caused by debris blocking the port, disabled permissions in Settings, or a Bluetooth device intercepting the audio. Rarely, it's a hardware problem. Check permissions first, then the physical port, then restart.

- Using a sharp object like a pin or paperclip to clean the port. This damages the microphone.
- Assuming the microphone is broken when it's just a permission issue
- Not checking app permissions for each app individually
- Ignoring Bluetooth as a cause when microphone only fails during regular calls
