iPhone notification sounds stopped playing
Check the physical mute switch on the left side of your iPhone. If the red line is showing, Silent mode is on and notifications won't make sound. Flip that switch up and the sounds will come back. If it's already up, your notification volume can be turned all the way down.
iPhones have a physical mute switch on the side that turns off all notification and alert sounds. It's easy to forget about it when you accidentally flip it. If the switch isn't the problem, check that your notification volume isn't turned all the way down in Settings. If both are fine but sounds still aren't working, Focus mode can be blocking notifications.

Skip, I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Not checking the physical mute switch first. It's easy to flip by accident and causes most notification silence problems.
- Confusing Silent mode with Do Not Disturb. They're different. Silent mode uses the physical switch, Do Not Disturb is in Settings.
- Turning down notification volume when the real problem is the mute switch is flipped.
