Your webcam picture is blurry or out of focus
Dust on the lens, the camera being too close to your face, or poor lighting causes a blurry webcam. Clean the lens with a soft dry cloth, move the camera back 12–18 inches from your face, and make sure you have good lighting in front of you.
Your webcam has a tiny lens that needs to focus on your face. If the lens is dirty, too close, or there isn't enough light, the picture comes out blurry. Cleaning the lens and adjusting the distance fixes the problem.
- ✓Have a clean, dry cloth available — microfiber cloth like the kind for eyeglasses works best
- ✓A space where you can sit 12–18 inches from the webcam
- ✓Good lighting near your desk or workspace
