You can receive emails but cannot send them

Receiving and sending use two separate paths. One works, one doesn't. The problem is your outgoing port or server settings. Test the web version first to see if it's your account or your app.

Your incoming path works fine. Your outgoing path is blocked or misconfigured. Test the web version to see if the problem is your email account or your app. Then fix either the app settings or unblock your outgoing port.

  • Check your Outbox folder for messages stuck there
  • Test sending through the web version — go to gmail.com or outlook.com and try to send a test email
  • If web sending works but the app doesn't, the problem is the app's outgoing settings
