Wireless mouse double-clicking when you only click once

Your mouse button is probably wearing out or the wireless connection is unstable and causing missed clicks to be registered as double-clicks. Start by replacing the batteries. A low-battery mouse glitches and causes double-clicking in most cases. If that doesn't work, you'll need to replace the mouse itself.

Double-clicking on single clicks happens when the mouse button is wearing out mechanically, the batteries are dying and causing connection glitches, or the button switch inside needs cleaning. Since most mouse buttons are not designed to be repaired, the fix is a new mouse. But start with fresh batteries first. They fix the problem 30% of the time.
